If your door locks are sporadic and only lock or unlock some of the time, your issue may be the relays in the control module. They are widely available on EBay and elsewhere. These are the ones I bought:
There are many videos on YouTube showing the procedure so I won’t go too much into the actual mechanics of it. I will say that if you do not have sophisticated soldering tools/skills that you have to get creative. The old relays are fragile and I cracked them open, carefully stripped out the guts, and then desoldered the lugs while pulling gently on them with needle nose pliers. Soldering the new ones in was easy. All went well except when I thumbed the soldering iron and burnt my thumb a bit. The door panel could not be easier to remove. Do NOT pry the window control panel out of the door panel, that is 100 percent unnecessary.
I changed all four in both doors last week and that didn't correct the problem which seems to be a bad communication wire connection somewhere. Did the new relays fix your car?

For me, the issue was simple; the door lock just did not operate consistently. It was moving but not completely every time, because the relay was not delivering enough voltage to move the lock fully. It was not an issue related to wiring or remotes. It’s working perfectly now.
