I had to take my knee bolster down for an unrelated reason, and found one of the locking tabs for the inside air temp sensor was broken. JB weld gave no love, so I made a new tab out of a piece of aluminum flashing material. Now it snaps right in the panel and works fine. The screw hole is about 3/8 inch away from the sensor element, and ll works fine. I know brass and aluminum don't like each other much, so next time in there, I'll have the same size SS wood screw on hand. The brass one is a #6x1/4.
