I'm using my 03 C5Z mainly for track days, so I keep adding lightness to it. I decided to weigh the pile of parts removed from the car. It summed up to an amazing 49 kg / 108 lbs! The final weight reduction is probably closer to 41 kg / 90 lbs, e.g. an electric power steering pump is used instead of the stock unit.
Did you weigh it before pulling your stuff? And how did you weigh your items? Kitchen/postal scale of holding stuff in your hand on a bathroom scale?
I didn't weight the car before I started to pull stuff out, unfortunately. I did however weigh all the parts removed using a fishing scale, 108 lbs in total (see above). The weighing cell pictured is calibrated annually, as it is used by the road authorities to verify compliance to regulations (e.g. total weight with a trailer).
