My air conditioning is blowing hot air. Checked to see if it had thrown the a/c belt it hadn't. Checked to see if the a/c was kicking on and off. I had my wife turn the air conditioning on and off to see if the compressor was kicking on and off and it was. I bought a can of AC Pro that I had purchased for another vehicle I own hooked it up and it showed it was charged, but I know this isn't the correct way of checking. I was reading about the outside air ambient sensor could possibly be causing the a/c not to work. I checked where it is supposed to be and can not locate the sensor. If that sensor is missing could it be the reason my a/c is not working?

First off had the AC been working properly prior to now and just recently had stopped working ??....Do you know how to access trouble codes through the DIC ??...video below if you’ve never done that...post all DTC’s that you see and see if they are H (history) or C (current)...HVAC issues will be “B” codes !!...is this manual or automatic HVAC system ??

I don't use the a/c much but it has been hot here. It was working last year and when I went to use it the first time this year is when I noticed that it was blowing hot air thru the vents. I checked the the codes and the only b code was a 1545c h which is the clutch relay I believe. I checked the fuse it was good and I also pulled the relay and exchanged it with another relay and still the same hot air. The compressor is kicking on and off. It is a manual HCAV system.

And this is manual or automatic HVAC ??..it is good that the clutch engages so we know the inputs are OK...I would check the system pressure first because that’s fairly quick and easy...I doubt you have gauges to check your high and low side pressures.
I had forgot when I had the a/c checked a couple of years ago they had put dye in it to see where or if it was leaking. I had it a dealership to have the oil changed...I know but had some health issues preventing me from doing it. They checked and sure enough the compressor was leaking. They replaced it and now working. Thanks for all who responded.
