Default 1999 vette issues

Just bought 1999 Vette at Mecum auction in Indy. It’s my first vette and she has a few issues that I would appreciate some feedback on.
1) oil leak (I believe valve covers)
2) tie rod end issue. Tires have some play when jacked up with right to left movement
3) heads up display/horn/AC not working.

I am just guessing at these issues and need to see if y’all have any suggestion for me.

Thank you.

Welcome to the CF, but you posted in the C-1/C-2 pages. You want to be in the C-5 pages. No big deal, except those guys in C-5 have the info you want. Enjoy the ride! Dennis

1) Valve Cover Gaskets maybe? Or oil pan? Can't be sure without a good mechanic 2) Try ZipCorvette for ball joints and tie rods - good tough high quality components 3) An aftermarket warranty helps here, can then bring it to the dealer, instead of shade tree mechanic.....

AC might be just be low on freon. But if that's the case you most likely have a leak. Is the leak from the front? Back? Sides? Valve covers are fairly easy to change the gaskets on. Tie rods are easy enough also, just count the turns when you remove the old one so the new one gets back in relatively the same location. Ball joints, you'll need a press of some sorts for removal and installation. Fairly easy too if you have the equipment. You'll need an alignment when those are done of course. Check and make sure the horns are plugged in. Might be a fuse also or the horn membrane or? HUD I have no idea on as my car doesn't have it so I've never messed with one.
