C5 Battery question
Guys, Its time for a new Battery. Like many of us, my car can sit for a couple of weeks at a time. Of course I always try to use a Battery tender, but it is not always on. SO, I have had decent luck with the stock battery, but does anyone have any ideas on a better choice?

I found that the Sears Platinum, which used ti be a rebadged Odyssey lasts much longer than others, Odyssey batteries also age well - mine is over 12 years old now. They are just a bit pricey.

Interstate battery from Costco. Last one I bought has a 42 month warranty plus the Costco Citi card adds 12 more months. Pretty sure it’s full replacement within the 42 month warranty. I know it’s full refund if you go into the Citi card extra 12 months because they sent me a check earlier this year for full original purchase price plus tax.
I’m not saying Interstates are the best battery but you basically have 54 months replacement or refund.

I went to Walmart 6 years ago and bought an EverStart MAXX-86 battery for about $120. It's still going strong. I have it hooked up to a Sears DieHard 2A battery float charger/maintainer when the C5 is not in use.

This is like asking what tires to get or what transportation company to use to ship the vette. Batteries are consumable materials. Don’t overthink it...KISS...is what my Dad use to say. When the battery went in my Z, I replaced it with another AC Delco, same specs. I have a Walmart battery in the other vette. Aren’t all the car batteries made by like 2 or 3 companies?
