Default Issues with c5 climate control, working inconsistently

I have a 98 Vert, the lights on climate control are always working as they should. When I push each button it makes the adjustment on the screen as it should. But half the times the fan wont blow at all, even if I turn the control up to 100% it’s still won’t blow any air.

after you push a bunch of random buttons it’s like out of nowhere it will start blowing air. It’s very unpredictable and annoying. Possibly a short in the control box? Or more of a blower motor type of issue?

I just had a similar experience. AC was working fine yesterday morning. Then after work the blower would not come on at all. The digital display and everything looked normal and I could hear the compressor kicking on. Blower hasn't worked since.

I've done some searching and have narrowed it down to checking the blower motor and looking at the control module. I dug around and checked the connections by the motor after work today, but ran out of daylight. So didn't make any progress yet. Also want to check all the grounds to make sure they are good also. No codes were thrown.

So I'd be interested in hearing others recommendations also on what to check.

This seems to happen to mine when I disconnect power at the battery. I turn it back on with a tech 2 and it works again

NCALI, I saw in another post you mentioned the relay above the BCM in the passenger footwell having a loose connection. Is that the gray relay to the left? I believe the black on to the right is for the column lock.

After doing some reading I’m leaning towards it being the blower motor resistor. I have another c5 in my garage so might be a good time to swap some parts and see where the issue is. I’ll report back when I dial it in 👍

this car just had the battery replaced and it wasn’t the damn blower motor resistor like I thought it would be just wasted $100 for a new one. What is a tech 2 and how can I get this thing working normally again?

If anyone know where to find the hvac DIC codes it’s showing B0466 as a H and C. I was unable to locate the meaning of that hvac code.

Here’s the answer for your code, whatever this means...

GM:

Auxiliary heater flame sensor circuit high
