So on the driver seat does the c5 buckle plug into the c6 seat?
Not sure what you're asking. It's been confirmed that the C5 receiver needs to be swapped to the C6 seat so you'll use the C5 receiver with the C5 seat belt/buckle. If you're referring to the wire/plug, I had no problem connecting the wire into the C6 seat's wire harness.
Ok the reciever is what I was confused about. What I was confused about is if the c6 passenger seat isn't powered but my c5 is, the what will the buckle power into if the c6 seat isn't powered? That's what I mean and I'm sorry if I'm not being fully clear, I just cannot find the correct terminology

No problem. The answer is: it won't. If there's no wire harness under the seat whatsoever, there's nothing to plug it into. I'd try to put it in and see if there are any issues (lights on the dash, messages on the DIC, etc). If there are lights, you'll probably need a Vetteworks adapter and an OEM C6 power harness (eBay or discounted online parts site). Unfortunately I'm not sure what all is needed on your situation. You might be fine with nothing or you might need to do some wiring to keep the C5 electronics/warning lights happy. Maybe someone else can chime in. Or there are plenty of C6 seat swap threads out there with a lot of info as well.
Thanks for that. I can live with a seat belt light on the dash. That won't bother me but what will concern me is will the seat belt still tighten as it should in an emergency
Yeah this won't affect the operation of the seat belt in any way. That's all mechanical via the reel.
Thank you and everyone for having patience with me with my badly worded question, in between my treatment feeds and other things I don't quite proof read my questions as well as I should
FYI on the C5 dash seat belt light. Only the drivers seat belt will light the dash light if not latched. The passenger seat belt receiver does not have a connection to the light, there is no switch in the C5 passenger seat belt receiver for this function.

This has not been my experience.
I have no light nannies on my car after putting a C7 seat (without connecting a receiver wire) in place of my powered driver seat.
The C5 seems to only turn the idiot light on if it is connected to a power source and the belt is absent. In my case, the C7 receiver, connected to nothing, does not active and cluster lights. YMMV
I cannot get the buckle off the c6 seat due to my strength and health. I'm too weak due to my disease and I have no one to help me. Is there a buckle extender that can go into the c6 seat that'll accept the c5 belt? Or any mod that'll help it fit?
Use either a breaker bar or a cheater bar (long piece of pipe you can slip over the wrench). A longer bar will give you much greater leverage, just don't go overboard tightening it.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you can't remove the buckle, are you sure you'll be able to physically remove the old seats and put the new ones in? I don't remember the exact weight, but I believe mine were in the ballpark of 40-45 lbs each. The difficult part isn't even necessarily their weight, but that they're awkward to maneuver, especially with a fixed roof.

Yeah I can do that it's just with 3 failed shoulder surgeries I cannot hunker down on the nut
Please don't crucify me for asking. I'm simply asking...but I ran across a post from a long time ago, like years and someone had a buckle question and someone told him to get a Dremel a d slightly grind the c6 buckle to make it fit. Like I said I'm simply asking.
I personally wouldn't modify the first thing that protects you in a crash, but that's just me. People do all kinds of wacky things. Can it be done? Probably? Should you do it? That's 100% your call.

Thanks! I have someone coming tomorrow to help me remove the buckle
What can help with stuff like this is a electric impact driver. I use one for the stubborn bolts and due to some wrist issues I have.
I have a Milwaukee 18v set.
