Ive noticed that when I fully let off of the clutch and I’ve just started to roll at slow speeds, if I give it some gas it’ll take a full second for the car to actually move with the power it should. I’ve noticed this when trying to do donuts (with traction control off obviously). I’ll mash the gas down and it’ll go a little bit but then a second later the wheels will start spinning as they should. It feels like the car has turbo lag when trying to do anything off of a launch.
does anybody know what this could be? I’m sure it’s not normal.
Sounds like you're either bogging it or the TC is still activating. If you feel it bite, then it shuts down for a second, that's probably TC. If it feels like a hiccup/hesitation, could be a "tune up" issue. If you're just too low in the powerband, you're not making enough power.
This is all correctable with proper tuning Not a handheld but with HP or EFILIVE
YES there is a built in 1-3 second delay to "power enrichment" meaning when you floor the throttle there is a 1-3 second delay from P/T fueling to PE
ALSO there are other tuning parameters that aid in getting full throttle when you floor it
The other most important table for a drive by wire T Body is the "ETC Pedal TQ Reduction Table"
This table prevents the T Body to actually go to 100% WOT until you reach approx 3600 RPM's--Even if you have the throttle floored you think Its WOT but actually it is just barely cracked open--Then you hit about 3400-3600 and finally it comes alive and goes to 100% WOT
A real tune -- even a mail order tuner can get rid of all these delays and get you full power
