I've had my 2002 Z06 for little over a month with no issues and just last night while I was 2 hours into a trip after casual driving my check engine light started flashing and the car seemed to start bogging out. I managed to get to the next rest stop but now I'm out of luck. No error codes other than some radio ones. The car will start and crank over for about 5 seconds and then die out. Help????
Otherwise, kinda sounds fuel related. i.e. low fuel or fuel pump died.
The C5 has saddle tanks, and I've heard of it happening that one tank doesn't fill the other properly and that can mean it "runs out" even with what appears to be a half tank. Unless you know the tank is full, it might be worth trying to fill it with gas.
If it was the right fuel tank not transferring fuel to the left tank, it will be preceded considerably by the fuel gauge going to zero. When this happened to me, I figured it was the typical sender problem until it ran out and subsequently took 12 gallons. It will also throw a code.
Edit: Had left and right reversed

Reason: Correct left and right fuel tanks
Throw a fuel pressure gauge on it, turn the key to on (you can hear the pumps run for a few seconds) and see if it comes up to correct psi - cant recall exactly - 50ish.... Someone else can chime in to give exact - or look it up. Easy way to either rule the fuel pump as the issue - or rule it out.

Flashing MIL is a P0300 misfire !!...why it dies after 5 seconds is possibly another issue !!
