Does anyone have a copy of the instructions for installing and adjusting a Breathless Performance Products Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator for a 1997-1998 LS1, Item 100-207, that they can mail, fax or email to me? Has anyone noticed improvements in power, gas mileage or driveabilty from this mod? Thanks. :)
Yeah, I installed a BPP AFPR on my 98 quite a while ago.
It's an easy job. I still have the install sheet. I can email it to you on Monday if you want.
I think it is worthwhile. My stock presssure was 58 psi, which is a bit rich. I lowered it to 52. But then I added a K+N intake, larger MAF ends and a relocated MAT sensor. All this additional air needed more fuel. So I wound up at 56! I also added a fuel recurve hose to supply vacuum to the Regulator to take the place of the stock hose which no longer works with a high flow air intake.
Great, I would appreciate it if you could email it to me on Monday. I just installed a Blackwing and have ordered the fuel recurve line from Corvette Concepts after searching all over for one. Thanks for your help.
Ahhh... would you mine educating me on this? Especially the part about "the stock hose doesn't work with a high flow intake". The stock hose starts from the air coupler going to the throttle body and linked up to the fuel regulator..right? If so, what is the option your talking about (from Corvette Concepts) ?
That's an option I did without. Mainly because I was afraid of leaning it out too much. Too lean and you can cause damage. I had the WOT A/F mix adjusted on a dyno. See sig for mods & HP / TQ numbers. I have similar mods from different vendors to yours. The WOT A/F tune picked up 15 hp & 20 TQ.
