I’ve been trying to chase down a high pitched squeal under high RPMs and have PS pulley question. In the video, it makes a clicking/clacking sound when rotating left/right, etc. Was curious if that was normal. It does not move at all forward and backwards.
Harmonic balancer is new, I’ve replaced the tensioner and idler pulley, and I have driven it w/o the a/c belt to eliminate those other 3 components.
Was curious if someone might be in the middle of working on theirs and could check to see if theirs makes the same sound.
Thank!

Can't help with the PS Pulley - I know these types of Squeals can be Discerning, might it be just the new Belts ? Local Auto parts store has anti-squeal Belt Spray, but I'm not sure how well it works
My '98 original pump with 125,000 miles on it makes no squeeling noises when running. The main belt is off now with the fluid drained out and if the power steering pulley is rotated by hand it doesn't make any noises.

Won’t let me attach the video.
So for whatever reason (GM being cheap perhaps) that pulley is plastic and have cracked on some of our C5s. Any chance there is a slight crack??
