2003. Hadn’t started it for about 3 weeks. Had to charge it to get it started. Drove it most of the day shutting it down about 6 times no issues starting. Battery is only about a year old. I have a volt reader and it was showing 13.2 or so most of the day. Put it on a Ctek charger over night. Wouldn’t turn over next day. Charged the battery at 55 amps for a few hours then 2 amps over night and wouldn’t start the next day. Does this sound like a ground issue? The ignition switch has been replaced
I don’t know if you are using a DVOM to test the condition of the battery but if that’s low and you can’t charge it to at least 12.66 it’s probably a bad battery...take the battery to your friendly automotive box store and see if they can test it for you !!
It's your battery, not taking a charge, starts to turn over, and then starts clicking, but to make sure pull your battery take it to your nearest auto parts store and have them charge and load test your battery.
Had the battery tested and after charging it all night when they tested it it was near 0. Only a year old but must have been in bad shape to not even take a charge. They replaced it and I installed it and fired right up. Still going to check all the grounds and starter connections. Alternator putting out what it should. Thanks for the help
