Aren’t you curious how to correct this problem?

I never gave it a thought, and I really don't consider it to be a problem.

Well it bugs me because this is my 5th Corvette - and except for the ‘78 - the ‘94’, the ‘03, and the ‘08 all had instrument clusters that light up at day light driving.
Since the instrument cluster is supposed to light up when the door opens is it possible there’s an issue with the wiring at the door hinge location - or I’ve read that the ignition switch has a great number of systems going though it - just a thought.
