Well GCG you are a genius!! I installed the new regulator that arrived on friday and pit the alternator back in, everything went really well. So I started her up and my voltage I noticed was a bit lower and so I hooked up a voltage meter and it was charging at 13.8- 13.7 right in there which is a bit lower then the old regulator but took it out for a drive and usually that fault will appear within a minute and It never appeared !! I drove it around for a while and no charging system fault !! You deserve all the credit and my sincere gratitude .. I really would have never thought of the regulator since it was charging fine but you knew and for that I am grateful!! great advice and I wanted to get on here as soon as possible to share with the Forum my experience and the successful fix of my Charging system fault !! Thanks everyone who helped me out and I will continue to share and help whenever I can with my experiences!!
Standup triple: Do you have the link for the voltage regulator INSTRUCTIONS? I already had GCG's part source link.
I've removed the 2 8mm nuts, but the regulator appears to be hanging up by something under the rubbery blob (orange arrow) or under the bushing cover (green arrow)

Yes, in addition to the two 8-millimeter nuts, under the "rubbery blob" (orange arrow) there are 2 contact rings that need to be freed. You also need to remove the plastic cover (pull it straight away) that protects the brushes (green arrow) so you can push them up a little to facilitate the removal of the old voltage regulator. See pictures below to have a better idea:
How disappointing.... I replaced the voltage regulator and my problems haven't changed. Does anyone know a good Corvette person and or shop in the Tucson area?
