Default Rear Approach lights not working

My approach lights all work except for the reverse/backup ones. They do come on in reverse, they just don’t flash with the fog lights like the did before changing the bulbs. They stopped flashing when I changed the bulbs. Anybody know what may have happened, and how to fix it?

Yes, I changed them to LEDs, Thanks for responding "old stingray" All of the other lights still come on, and the fog lights still flash, but the reverse/backup lights won't come on upon approach, or with the key fob.

Sounds like you need to buy the hyperflash harness if you haven’t already.

By all means, if he doesn't have it, but the hyperflash harness won't solve the reported problem with the reverse lights. The hyperflash harness only prevents the turn signals from hyperflashing.

I suggest, as a test, to reinstall the OEM incandescent bulbs to see if everything returns to normal. If yes, then we'll know for sure what's causing the problem.

Thanks I will try that. At least I’ll know if it’s the LEDs causing the issue then

While you are testing with the old incandescent bulbs, also try turning the LED bulbs 180*. LEDs have polarity, so it is possible you have them in incorrectly.

My bulbs are blue dipped for the blackout lenses on the Adjure license plate mount. The bulbs are single filament, but not working in reverse, so I have a reverse switch on order for now.
Once the reverse lights are working (I hope), will having LEDs instead of the OEM double filament 2057 bulbs allow the approach function to work? I know many people don't like the reverse lights to turn on with the key FOB approach function, but I like it. I'm not so sure that an LED bulb would work like the 2057 double filament would (one filament for reverse hi, and the other for approach low). They are on different fuses.

I’m guessing someone pulled your DRL fuse, or it blew.

Your DRL’s come on when you drive automatically? If not then it’s fuse #2
