I’m getting ready to install the ubiquitous Hi-4 harness and would like to confirm a common enhancement I plan to perform. Instead of using a single, spindly fuse tap on the “engine-side” of fuse #10, I plan on replacing both low-beam fuses (#8 and #10) with pigtail fuses attached to the relay output wire via inline connectors.
The 1999 FSM shows the fuse and circuit numbers as follows:
I don’t know much about electrical systems, but I’m pretty sure “12” equals “12” so the common connection “upstream” of the fuses appears to be the “engine-side” of fuse #10 and the “non-engine-side” of fuse #8. This is how I intend to insert the pigtail fuses.
