Searched other threads but not quite what is going on with my 99 C5.......
Fob stopped working awhile back so I replaced battery as a precaution stood in front of car held both buttons down and synced fob....
Walked away and the horn goes off.....I didnt push the lock button....unlocked and starting walking away and boom horn sounded again...
Today I noticed the seat memory flashing so I think I have an issue with a module...which one would it be ??

When ever I have to reprogram the fob after pushing both lock & unlock buttons I also flip the passive slider back & forth. That seems to correct everything.

Hi Jim. I have a 2000 w/o passive function. There are several threads here about resoldering a chip inside the fob itself. I don't know if this applies to your model year, or not. Mine was losing its program. I soldered the points and all good. Good luck.....
