How to remove Guage Cluster?

How to remove Guage Cluster?
Was thinking about the aluminum guage bezel mod, and was wondering how much needs to be removed to get the cluster out. Does anyone have a set of instructions or any info on this? Do you have to completely take off the top dash pad? Thanks

No on the dash pad. It's actually pretty straight forward. You remove the shifter **** and then the center console. Then you remove the knee bolster so that you can remove the two bolts that hold the steering column. This allows the column to drop a couple inches provides enough room to remove the Insrument Panel cluster (after taking aout 4 screws). Hardest part is removing the electrical connector to the IP. Corvette fever mag had a very good writeup about 1.5 years ago. Keep the IP in a vertical position at all times.
