Default 1998 Manual AC hot on driver side

Hi all and thanks in advance for any and all help.

My Story bought Vett with Blown engine, rebuilt it new crank rods pitons rebuilt heads after I ported them, Installed long tube headers and LS6 Intake.

Long story short got it running and driving (Not to shabby by the way it gets with the program!) BUT the AC needed charge got that done but wouldn't pull down to 30lbs on low side.
Installed a new AC pump, twice! first was bad wouldnt pull down 2nd time the charm now it pulls down to 30lbs on low side with 40 degree air out on passenger side vents at around a 100-110 out side air temp in my shop, I live in Death Valley basically.

NO DTC's on Scan at any time.

Changed out driver side Door actuator today its a little better BUT still Ice cold on passenger side and warm in center and driver side ???????
I dont think my system is low on freon with low side at 30 and putting out 40 degree air on passenger side at 100+ degrees but any thing is possible?

Thoughts?

Sounds like an air blend problem. Can you pinch off the heater inlet hose? If so, that will prevent any significant reheating of the air and will confirm if it is an air side problem.

I’m curious about that first Bad compressor. Was it an OEM Delphi service model?

I replaced the drivers side blend actuator already last week and it was no help,
Then the Dam thing started blowing Cold out driver side yesterday on my drive home. did nothing to it have no idea how long it will continue to work?
Dang thing froze me out had to turn it down lol, I am glad its working but I have no idea why it would just start working all on its own.
I would rather it was broke so I could fix it so it doesn't happen anymore

The Pump was from Orileys, I have no idea if it is a Delphi ???

The title says manual AC, do you have the manual HVAC control system or the automatic HVAC control system?

Sounds like the actuator you’re replaced just relearned . They are supposed to be relearned when replaced . Sometimes and few key cycles without hitting buttons and they work ( this is not the correct way ) .

I also have the manual system and the acuator seems to be sticking to where it almost goes to full AC and finally does after driving for a few miles. I ordered a new actuator too, at least the system only uses one and it's cheaper than the ones on the automatic system. Have you taken the old actuator apart to see if the gears are stripped or cracked?

I may get heat for what I'm going to say, but the C5 is very sensitive to 134a levels. My 2,000 with electronic air says 1.75lbs of refrigerant. Other years I've seen take 1.5lbs. This is the OEM Factory underhood label. On my car, 2-12oz cans (24 oz/1.5lbs) will get it cold, but drivers side is slightly warmer. If I get a 3rd 12oz can, and try using 1/3 of the can, those extra 4ozs will even the sides out, assuming no air duct problems. I have a set of A_C gages, and a vacuum pump, but these new self seal cans will NOT work with my gage set, even with an adapter. I'm not licensed, so I can't buy the large tank of 134a. That's why I must use the cans. I don't know if going by the gages on the low side is an accurate way to gage the amount of 134a in the system. If it was me, I'd run codes on the DIC and see if any "out of range" codes come up for the HVAC system. If there are none, I'd get another can of 134a and see if it will take a small amount, or take it to an A/C shop and have them put in the correct amount by weight. In my case, when the passenger side is colder, it always (so far) evens out when I add a small amount of 134a to it. Good luck......
