Back left tire making clicking noise. Doesn’t do it when in idle, only does it when rolling and foot off brake. Does not do it when accelerating. Any thoughts?
I installed new rotors and brakes yesterday, and noticed with car up on my quick jack I was getting clicking noise. Turned out be my sensor cables were up against my left rear wheel. I pulled them inward and the noise went away. you might look at them.
More than likely is the rear axle nuts. This is a common issue. Some people replace them others just tighten them up. Get the correct socket and back the nut off.. Use some lithium grease and spray down the splines.. Take a breaker bar or torque wrench and snug them up.. Been discussed her on the forum many times.
Try this for a quick check:
Raise the rear up and spray a little bit of lubricant on the inside where the axle goes into the hub; where the axle splines are. Do both rear wheels. Go for a drive, see if noise is gone.
Don't know if you have the wheels with the "chrome" cetercaps with the C5 crossed flags decal, or not. On my 2000, a common problem is, over time, they loosen. I've heard of people using tape to shim them tighter. I've used a small torch, or grill lighter, and hear each tab to point I can just bend them slightly out to make them tighter. You only need to do 3 of them, and don't OVERbend them. This will make them so tight you'll break a tab when putting them back in place. It only takes a little bending. Always works fine for me......

I had the same issue with my Z06 centercaps several years ago. Did the same method you did and they have been solid ever since.
1997C5TORCHRED it's pretty easy to test. Just grab the centercap with your fingers and try to twist it either direction and if it twists and hits the wheel this is likely your issue.
First question is did you do anything to the car like get new tires? Might help us narrow down possible causes. Could be something simple like a wheel weight hitting the caliper if you bought tires.
