Default Turn signal problems

My turn signals only work after I have been driving the car for a half hour or so. Anyone else encounter a problem like that? I have LEDs and the wiring harness in my dash to support them.

Hazard switch failures are common on these cars.

Stingroo is correct, and you may also want to check your relay connection for the LEDs, it can get jostled and stuck in the wrong place when you put the bezel and knee bolster back together.

I thought when you put the harness in, it solves the hazard switch problem as well as fixing the hyperflash LEDs cause? Solves problems with your OEM flasher

• Permanently fixes the problem you were temporarily fixing by toggling the hazard switch until the turn signals worked again

• Solves hyper flashing / rapid flashing caused by LED Taillights or LED DRLs without using dangerously hot load resistors on each turn signal

Push the hazard switch a few times. My corvett mechanic told me this. It worked for me.

It is possible that the flasher in the hyperflash harness has failed. You could try replacing it. It is not expensive and it is easy to do.

You can use a LED flasher like the one below. It can handle loads from 20mA to 20A without a problem.

EDIT: Just make sure that the terminals of both, old and new, flashers are in the same physical position, otherwise you would need to swap pins in the socket to make it work.

You are correct . Since a hyperflash harness replaces the portion of the hazard switch that handles the turn signals with a flasher that's LED friendly, in addition to return to normal flashing frequency when LED bulbs are used, it also eliminates any malfunction of the turn signals caused by a defective OEM flasher.
