Default LT Headers

Is it useless to put LT headers on a 2000 C5 if you still have the stock exhaust on it?

No, but it only wakes up 1/2 the system.

I installed FLP's and high flow cats and kept the stock exhaust. There was a significant SOTP performance gain and the quantity and quality of exhaust went up noticeably. I am still planning on adding GHL's later, but am now worrying that it may be too loud. But I am not expecting much if any performance improvement with the GHL's. My .02 worth. :)

Most people start their mods with intake/exhaust because of the price factor - both mods' cost equal a good set of LTs. Exhaust systems yield little hp gains though, the reason to install it is more of that satisfying exhaust signature (nasty loud SLPs, deep Borlas, subtle Corsa Touring).

LT headers do away with the precats so you will feel hp gains even without an exhaust change.
