I have a 97 with Auto hvac. Has codes B0361 Motor 1 feedback short and B0441 LH mix motor out of range. I removed drivers actuator and it was not cracked. Replaced anyway still no change. Blowing warm out of drivers side and cold out of passenger. When I let the actuator hang down so I can watch it turns one way then back to center but won't go the other way. Same on both actuators. Any ideas? Also hvac control head will sometimes shut off on its own then come back on. Or when you turn the key on the hvac control might come on like 15-30 sec later.
I figured out why the hvac head unit would shut off or not power on at times. Bad Ignition switch. I took Ignition switch apart and cleaned burnt contacts and now it comes on all the time and has not gone out once. I am still getting codes for drivers side actuator though. I have reset actuators multiple times but codes continue to come back. With original actuator which is not cracked I get a B0361,B0363and B0441. With cheap aftermarket actuator I get B0361 and B0441. It feels colder with the original actuator and warm with aftermarket one. What else could be causing these codes? Could a bad control head cause these? Weren't the later control heads less problematic then the early ones?

All fixed!!! So as I previously said I fixed the issue of the climate control shutting off randomly then coming back on or not powering on right away. That was the the Ignition switch. Took it apart and cleaned burnt contacts as described here on the forum. The hvac codes are now all gone. The fix for that was installing An oem Acdelco actuator. I should of know better than to install a cheap knockoff. So let this be a lesson don't waste your time with the $20-$30 actuator. They DON'T WORK! I tried installing 2 different cheap ones and neither one worked. I bought a acdelco and boom first try codes are gone and it blows cold. I also followed the trouble code chart for the codes I had and both charts said replace actuator.
