trans. cooler location on 97 c5
going to install a trans. cooler as a winter project. would like to see some different locations other than up against the air cond. and radiator. i prefer the stacked plate design, as i have used the B&M type (11 wide x7 something long) in the past on my street cars. saw where a member installed one in the drivers side headlight area. thats quite a long run. my last street car was a 81 malibu and i installed it just inside the front grill and it worked very good. was not up against the radiator. i also installed 3 computer muffin fans side by side (12vdc) as pushers. that was just an experiment to see how it worked. yes i know those fans don't put out much but that turbo 350 never ran hot. had the fans hooked up to a toggle switch. my trans temp was 199 in stop and go traffic a couple weeks ago (hight 70's low 80's degree day). would like to get it in the low 80's. what do you think? thanks Denny
