I though I read on CarTek's site in reference to installing their clutch, that they DO NOT REC. POLYURETHANE BUSHINGS because the computer interprets the vehicle's vibration as engine knock and pulls timing out.
What do you guys think about that?
We've sold many polygraphite bushings for the C-5 and never had that problem. We also sell poly motor and tranny mounts which if the computer interprets road shock as a knock it would definately do it then. Never had anything like that happen because the engine is still isolated from the frame. I could see the problem if someone used solid motor mounts.
:iagree: and suspension vibrations are at a different freq than knock vibrations.
