Default Water Pump - which one?

While doing my oil change I noticed that I had a small leak in the area of the water pump. I was told not to really worry; however, I wish to take no chances. We have always done preventive maintenance - taking care of problems before they become major issues. Our Vette is a 99 FRC with 94k. We have taken care of it and drive it on a regular basis.
If I am going to do the water pump I also intend to do the hoses. There are a number of posts on the forum regarding various pumps.
My question - what seems to be the best alternative for the pump and hoses? We intend to keep/drive the car; however, don’t have a pile of money to spend. All suggestions appreciated.

If you like ac Delco parts go to rockauto.com
They have everything you need. Newer style pump requires a newer style thermostat and water neck. They have radiator and heater hoses, which as you said, should all be replaced. Just depends on your preferences.

I only paid $100 at summit for the delco

More than likely its leaking due to gasket but this is one of those things i change the entire part on.

I had my reasons, primarily wanting to stay with a mechanical pump that increased flow. About $350.00 for an Edelbrock unit, but it's just what I wanted.....
