Finishing up the build on my 1997 and running into an issue with P1120. Have a new Nick Williams SD103 throttle body, wired in with a Casper LS2 adapter spliced into the engine harness. Code comes back every time it's cleared, throwing it into Reduced Engine Power mode.
Checked all wiring, I have continuity to TAC module for all connector wires and no short to ground on the TPS 1 circuit. Original '97 TAC module was working properly before teardown, swapped it out with a working module from a 2000 I had laying around and still getting same P1120 code. Car hasn't left garage, no water near connectors for that to be an issue.
Wondering if perhaps the new TB has a faulty TPS sensor, of if there is something else I'm missing to check.
Usually you will have to have an LS2 silver blade TB for our cars. Something about the way the newer one open is opposite of what our cars need. I have read of very few that can get them to work and most need repinning.
Update: Spoke with Nick Williams, looks like the SD103 is not compatible with the C5, it expects a different TPS signal than what the newer sensors provide. Will be sending in stock C5 TB to be built into a 102mm.
