Default C6 LS2 into C5

I'm ill be transplanting a C6 LS2 into a C5. Will the C6 pan fit the C5 OK? I think the C6 pan is Oil pan # 12624617.

Thanks

You would be better off just re using the C5 pan.

Mostly street car. Occasional trip to the drag strip. No roundy round or road course. No real need for batwings. Will use crank scraper and windage tray if appropriate with replacement pan.

Thanks

Yes the C6 pan fits. Quite nicely. More room for headers, starter replacement etc.

Great answer. Helps a lot. I'm sold on the C6 pan specially with the increased room for headers, etc.

I noticed at the drags, oil pressure dropped a bit at the launch. I’ve only made two passes with the new 6.2.
Ive added a quart, will test again. So you might consider the improved racing baffle crank scraper setup. I can see that adding that to mine would be a nightmare with the engine in the car.
Car ran 10.79 second pass.

Swap over the C5 oil level sender. C6 has a diff connector.
I put a 24x reluctor in mine as well. Just easier than an adapter box. Need the C5 crank trigger too.

Other than that, the C6 pan is a direct fit
