Default Question on Storing my Z06

I have an opportunity to store my 04 Z in a friends dry unheated garage for the winter. He goes South for the Winter. If I do the battery will need to be disconnected. Any Negatives to having the battery disconnected??
The alternative is to keep it in my unheated garage with the Battery on a trickle charger/maintainer.
I would really like to free up the space in my garage for projects......and the rate for the winter is "only 225$"
Input appreciated! You peeps in warm climates are envied.

Leaving it disconnected won't hurt anything. The battery would probably prefer to be on the trickle charger at least for a while but it might be just fine depending on how long you need to leave it sitting.

If not on a charger, I'd pull the battery and put it in the basement. If the battery were to somehow lose charge it could freeze and the case crack. You know the rest of the story....

So wait. You have two options. Option 1, store your vette in your friends garage for $225 for the winter. Option 2, store the vette in your own garage for nothing. is that right? And both are unheated, is that correct?

Try reading the OP's entire post. He wants to free up his own garage for other projects.
