Road Race Wheel Options
Howdy all. Our team has been building a 1986 C4 for road racing, and due to having over-sized front brakes we're looking at 18" wheel options. I figured the C5 subforum is a better place for this question because C5 owners are more familiar with the larger wheels than C4 owners might be. In any case, it would be great if we could get a set of factory 18x10.5 C5 Z06 wheels but they are hard to find and expensive these days. Another option is running a set of OE wheel replicas however I've read mixed results with track use durability. We're budget conscious and wanting to run 275-295 width tires. Any thoughts on other sets of wheels that would meet that criteria? Would any of the 18x9.5 factory wheel options fit the bill for that tire size on track? Thx
