I have a problem with my Twilight Sentinel. It mostly works. Head and tailights, DRLs, etc. Everything apparently, EXCEPT my dash lights! If I turn the lights on with the multifunction switch, which is new, the dash lights work. Never seen anyone who's had this problem before, and I haven't had it before, either. If I select the Sentinel in the options,, when it starts getting dark, the headlights flip up and light, and so does everything else-except the dash lights. Frustrating, for sure. Anyone have a guess?
Thanks guys. I dont have any blown fuses, and I've looked for a "twilight Sentinel" fuse without finding it. I've tried the dimmer switch full range, off to full bright, still nothing. Speedy, you might be right. Is that the little round clear little "lense" on the dash, or the domed sensor on the top by defrost vent?

Both ....u need to understand what twilight does and it’s only turning off and on your head lights in dark spots ....doesn’t control interior lights it’s what I call a pita function that I honest turn off and leave it off

Then it’s most likely to be the 1 ambient sensor on the Dash console button area ....not sure if these are a replaceable component or if they are embedded...some how there’s prob a way to test that voltage if the parts board is exposed while connected to car and turn on the light switch up one click and test the sensor and any corresponding nodes on the board to locate where or which Conductor isn’t relaying the pulse most likely from the sensor malfunction it’s self ....so again maybe it’s a replacement part or maybe it’s a soldering skill needed or a new entire dash...speedo console ....would be my 1st choice in solving the issue ...but then again I’ve seen blown fuses in the foot well area that will def cause your interior lights not to work and no not just the illumination fuses and I’ll cause this u gotta inspect them all as before I pulled a radio fuse and the interior lights went kaput ......so inspect every single fuse in your foot well ....if it doesn’t looks ok it prob is 20 years of age and needs a replacement....fuses are like 10 bucks a box have fun today pulling and replacing fuses at least there new right ....one less issue ...if u do discover a blown one hey hey look for a open wire somewhere ...could be door button related ...door button ? The the door sensor as it closes it detects when to open the signal to your dash lights upon entering or leaving the car ...if this button isn’t activated by another sensor yet in the door dash lights may fail to illuminate all together ...sorry but the c5 is a tricky car and it’s always the smallest retardant things ....I would have never thought about ...

I don't have a choice right now!! But if I sell the car, I'd just like to have everything working correctly. But I do agree with you and speedy. Its a PITA when on in a dark garage, because it turns everything on, then back off as you exit the garage, if it's daylight outside. But, again, I'd like to know what the problem is, and have it as an option.....
Honestly your prob looking at a new Speedo cluster ....but as people said even if you fix it it’s best to leave it turned off as it’s nothing more really then a pita ...
