Car has been sitting for about a week. I just got all these codes all at once.
28-TCS C1232 H C LF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
28-TCS C1233 H C RF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
28-TCS C1234 H C LR Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
28-TCS C1235 H C RR Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
28-TCS C1255 H C EBTCM Internal Malfunction
I find it somewhat of a coincidence that they all come on at the same time.
Can anyone shine some light on diagnosing or the solution to resolve this?
Thank you

I have the same code myself on my 2000 C5. From what I’ve read so far Is it’s a fairly simple fix for the 2001+ C5’s. Not looking too good for us 97-00 C5’s.
Yeah unfortunately you're looking at finding a replacement EBCM or living with the codes and lack of ABS as there is no repair for the early model units.

I believe there's a sticky about converting the '97-'00 models to the newer '01-'04 EBTCM. It's not something I would feel confident about doing myself. In time, the newer units will also be sold out, and the 1255 code will probably mean the same thing for ALL C5 owners-Death by no parts available. Sure would be great if someone could start manufacturing/total remanufacturing the C5 steering position sensor and EBTCM......

It is POSSIBLE, not a guarantee, but possible, a place I just discovered could help. They're in my own state of Michigan, but I've never heard of the place before. They claim they can fix most EBCM issues for the '97-2000 C5s. The place is called automotivemodules.com. Phone# is (734) 228-8679. If you exhaust all other repair attempts, you may want to check the place out. Of all the codes they do show that they have successfully repaired, the C1255 code was NOT listed among them.. So it may indeed be "the code of death", as another forum member posted. Also, you must send the EBCM in through retai outlet, as they do not deal directly with the public-Wholesale only. Good luck......

As I said, I've never heard of them before. I know the Covid pandemic has changed a lot of businesses. Give an email a shot. They do list a lot of codes they can repair, but if you have the C1255 code, and since they don't list that code as one they've repaired, it may be the EBCM is toast. I'm dreading this code myself, as I have a 2k convertible. I do know if the code does come up, and nobody can fix it, I'll tear into it myself. What have I got to lose?
I had most of the codes that you have listed even the 1255. I took mine to a dealership locally here that does have a corvette specialist. I don't know if this will fix yours, but it did mine. He found that some of the wiring near the EBCTM and other places was bad. He ended up resoldering the wiring and I have no issues since. Like I said I don't know if this is your issue but is worth a check.

What year is yours?
2001 and up you can take apart and resolder. But 1997-2000 you cant. Do you mean a ground around the EBCTM??

Mine is a 98...Was just the whole wiring harness had some bad wires that he resoldered. He didn't say anything about the ground that he just had to resolder the wiring harness in different places.

Can you PM me the contact info for this Corvette Specialist or at least the dealership please?? Thanks man!
If anyone knows of an ABS module anywhere, I could use it...
Have you tried Vettenuts? I've had a hard time getting thru to them lately, but they are a good company. Also try C&S Corvettes in Sarasota Florida.......
They deal with wrecked Corvettes and have loads of parts from many years. GOOD LUCK!
Checked them. They have one but I don't want to really pay $1500 for that :/

Yes sir. Constantly checking their inventory too.
Unfortunately, the prices I've seen in the last couple of years have pretty much all been around that figure, maybe a hundred or two less. Widh I could help ya out. Those 2 are usually good for lots of stuff. Another place I just thought of is Dinos Corvette Salvage. Tried them yet? Don't think you're going to find it for much less than $1,500, unless you're in the right place at the right time. Good luck......
