I do not know when the change was made, but my 99 is different from the later model c5s in that I do not have a vacuum line connected to the pump and the later years do. In fact, I would guess that 97, 98 and 99 have the same type as it was a carry over from the c4s from what I can tell.....I just don't know if the newer ones started in 2000 or 2001.....I would guess a simple google search on the part number will tell you...
