Just got a 2002 z06, but when I turn on my low beam, my right side headlight pops up slower than the left side. They go down at the same time. Anyone has any idea what should I check? No grinding noise.
Just for clarification, first click on stalk, running lights come on, second click lights pop up and come on, high and low beam is determined by pulling on stalk as you know. I don't think there is to much that can to cause the slow movement. Motor could be going. Might could squirt WD40 or some lube on the hinge points. There is a small amount of grease in the motor housing and could be hard causing restriction but dought it. Could the linkage be bent, has it been doing this since day one or just started? Is the nut that holds the linkage arm to the motor shaft seated and tight? I just replaced my drivers side and not a bad job, $70.00 from rockauto if it is the motor. Good luck with the fix
check to make sure the metal motor is not super loose on the plastic housing. there are four metal "tabs" that hold it on and after time they loosen up, may be binding up when they go up.
There’s always a slight difference I guess its nothing to really pay attention to until it starts moving really slow then it could be the gears just need some lube or maybe the motor is just lived it lit given its winter and real cold I would wait until it’s like 65-70 out and check back
