Some time ago I noticed a loose black rubber breather hose of some sort near my fuel filter. It led towards the rear and into the frame somewhere.
Now, after removing the drivetrain, I began looking for the differential breather but only found this open hole (see left side of photo)
pand it appears this is where the loose hose attached to.
Can anyone confirm this? If so, where does the other end of the hose lead to? Thanks!
Well I tugged on that hose and it terminates above my drivers side shock tower. Its capped with a breather so I guess GM put a remote breather on this car.
Thats the differential vent. Most likely the vehicle owner was expediency a vent failure or "puking" and installed this relocation with a new vent.
A way of doing this without dropping the rear.
