My controls for the a/c and heater went dead today....worked this morning, then nothing on the way home from work, there is no LED on the screen and nothing works.
Anyone have this issue before, and a fix?
You need to pull the entire control/screen unit out and send it to Vettetronics. Google that. You can find removal videos on Youtube. I did my 04 unit recently. No too difficult.
The youtube video is a great video for removing the unit. Im wanting to make sure it is the unit and not something else before I send it off to vettetronics...
I was able to pull up a fusebox and wiring diagram on the internet. I found out 2 things.
1. There are 2 fuse boxes on this car...one under the hood and one on the footboard on the passenger side (who'd a thunk??)
2. The center console and the ac/heater & radio are not that hard to r/r
the fuse #18 in the passenger compartment was blown....#10amp.. I replaced it and every thing is good again.
Thanks for the info...

Dontcha just wish the GM engineer, who put that fusebox down by the passengers feet, would blow a fuse there on a downpour rainy night, while his high heel wearing wife had to get out of the car to allow you to snake your way into the footwell to check things out? 😉
