Default Rear end noise

Hi fellow corvette enthusiast. I知 hearing a scraping noise in my rear end of my 01 z06. Can hear it when windows are closed in the cabin and I知 I知 only going about 15 mph.

Have you visually checked for debris around your wheels/axles and checked the brake pad level?
so my mechanic said I have 50% life left and I hear the scarring noise when I知 not even braking. More of like no throttle movement.

Seeing 50% looking through the wheel spokes can give a false impression as the inside pad (where the piston pushes) may have 10%.
not to sure actually, but I do feel a little thudding when breaking at speeds higher then 50mph as well

I've always been told (and try to do so myself) that about every six months or so you should remove your brakes and clean and grease them no matter if the pads and or rotors need changing or not
hopefully you find and your problem
