I have a 04.I went and put my rear tires on the front, and the front to the rear.I just wanted to see if that size rim and tire on the front would rub.So went to drive down the road, and the traction control would activate at like 25 mph.I was wanting to put the same size tire and rim as the rear all the way around the car.So how is everyone getting around the TC.or was that kind of just a shock to the computer to have the rear spinning faster than the front in this configuration.I called a corvette shop, and he says that he highly recommends keeping the factory staggered tire and size.So how are people getting around this.

Its possible that your TC didn’t like the swap front to rear. For example, on my 04 Z06 I’ve run completely square 295/35/18 tires on 4 stock Z06 rear rims for over a year without any issues. Never had a TC issue, never had any codes etc.
I’ve since gone to a smaller front tire only because the stock 10.5” wide rear Z06 wheel made the tire poke outside the front fender about an inch. So when I bought my new wheels, I went with a 265/35/18 front on an 18x9 wheel, and a 295/35/18 rear on an 18x10.5 wheel. Both now sit perfectly flush to the fenders.

The factory calibration for the AH/TC is set to "see" a difference in OD, between the rear wheels and front wheels, of approximately 1". By putting the rear wheels on the front, and the front on the rear, you created a difference approaching 2". THAT'S why the car's onboard computers were "unhappy".....
The AH/TC on a C5 isn't sensitive to tire diameter difference, unless the fronts are taller. There's no need to run a certain diameter combination, as long as that rule is followed.
I had a problem whenever I ran my C4 Grand Sport wheels and autocross tires on my C5. The fronts are 275/40/17 and the rears are 315/35/17. I don't know the difference in circumference, but the TC sure didn't like it. My other setup is 245/45/18 on front and 275/40/18 in the back. I would have thought they were similar in terms of the circumference ratio to the C4 wheels, but the TC is perfectly happy with them. Go figure!
