Default Oil Leaking onto Engine Mount?

First post for my first Vette. Just bought a 2000 C5 and I noticed what looked to be oil on the driver's side engine mount. I believe I can see the oil leaking from the engine onto the mount. After longer drives, I can certainly smell burnt oil, so no doubt there is a leak somewhere. Can someone help me figure out what kind of leak I'm dealing with here?

I see right above the mount there is oil, so I'm thinking head gasket, but I'm not 100% sure. There are no sensors on the block in that area. The last thing is the valve cover but u can see its dry above the mount. Put a oil dye, that should help locating the leak.
. Forgot mount is filled with oil that could be it.

Just pit new motor mounts in mine. One of them had a nice split in it and was leaking oil. I agree with the above and would say mount is due for a replacement.

Okay so motor mount is not cracked at all and a dental mirror to the valve cover confirmed no gasket leaks there. Is there a definitive way to determine if the head gasket is leaking?

And again I would recommend oil dye. It helped me find my leak.

Is it best to use the dye before or after an oil change? I'm due for one in another 500 miles or so. Also, any particular brand to use?

If oil is fairly clean do it before. I can't comment on brand.
