I had the same problem awhile back, drivers side blew cold but passenger side blew hot. My problem was the drivers side blend door actuator, removed it and found plastic gear had cracked, was able to repair cracked gear, reinstalled and had warm air again.

if you’ve got dual climate control the chances are one side would be showing some heat. If not, then I think there is only one electronic blend door so indeed it is quite likely that the plastic motor gear inside gave up.

Best thing to do is to check the DIC for HVAC fault codes.

There is an ancient service bulletin that indicates that turning the temperature **** too fast or too quickly can confuse the computer, resulting in no heat. First try resetting the **** to low and turning the temperature up slowly.
