Clutch Adjustment
The clutch is the original - hasn’t been abused - car tracked during 2014 Caravan. The clutch engages smoothly near the top of the pedal travel - transmission engagement Is very smooth.
Is there some type of adjustment built into C5 clutches? If so - how is it done. I really don’t want to replace the clutch; however, given our pending trip - being stranded miles from home is not a comforting thought!
All thoughts appreciated- if I need to replace - what is a good replacement? Slave cylinder at the same time? Any other suggestions towards reliability?
One thing that helps is keeping the clutch hydraulic fluid clean. Usually done by removing fluid from the reservoir with a turkey baster, adding new fluid, and repeating until fluid is clean(er.)
Engagement at top of travel sounds strange, but I don't have any answer.
Mine is still going good at 185,000 miles.
