Default Oil seepage

Hey guys looking for advice, I just picked up my first c5 Z06 2003 and things couldn’t be better. It only has 19,000 miles on it but had been sitting for a long time. I’ve been picking away at it since early December with a tune up and all fluids changed, minor bolt ons etc. when I bought it the oil filter was very loose and I lost a quart of oil. A lot went on the exhaust and from driving was splashed all over the pan. After an oil change and a brake clean cleanup things looked good. I just went under it the other day after a few good key cycles of driving and it looks like the oil pan is leaking. Doesn’t seem to be coming from anywhere high. How involved is this repair? Should I consider changing out any other gaskets or other components while in there? Any suggestions or info is greatly appreciated guys.

which pan gasket is the question...

Lower pan(batwing) gasket is easy to change...

Upper pan to block gasket is very much more involved because you have to drop the cradle away from the engine to do it...

If its that gasket the only other thing to change while in there is MAYBE the engine mounts...

My guess is its the batwing gasket as all the oil sits in the batwing when the engine isnt running...the upper gasket is a bit more rare to see seepage from on these cars.

If you plan to drive the car hard or track it, the improved racing baffles can be installed when you do the lower pan gasket.

thanks for the advice! To me it looks like only the lower as I don’t see any evidence of leaks from a higher point. I also haven’t added any dye to really check. But I will change the lower with the next oil change and go from there. It’s not even leaving drops on the garage floor yet.
I will look into the racing baffles, I don’t track it but I’ve been told I drive things like I stole them lol.

Just a suggestion...check the oil pressure sending unit to verify that it is not leaking. My '02 Z06 developed such an oil leak just a few months after I bought it, and it had a previously / recently replaced oil pressure sensor. When viewed from under the car, the leak appeared a lot like an oil pan leak....but wasn't. Take your time to chase down and verify the leak source before tearing into it.
