I installed my new TSP headers today. The passenger side is crooked in the tunnel. With the connection pipe installed its touching the tunnel. There is no way I can make this line up. Anyone have a problem like this before? The driver side is strait.
Welcome to their shitty/non existent QC... Or bad jigs... or...
I bought a set for my 07 Z06 back a few years ago.. the fit was **** just like that. I had to use a few straps to pull it into place and get everything else hooked up then let it go back into whatever position it wanted to be in.
Lets not talk about how low they hung and how many times I scraped the collector on the asphalt... Or how garbage the welds were. Or how most of the "slip fit" connectors were damn near the same size as the pipes that were supposed to slip into them and required me notching them and getting an exhaust pipe expander tool...
Its what you get when you get stainless, made in China headers for $899...
Has anyone else had problems with thier texas speed headers? The drivers side went in perfectly fine.
I had issues with mine as well. I had to take straps to pull mine together to get everything to fit. I still had issues with the fit. I ended up having to dent the pipe a bit to ensure I didn't get rubbing on the tunnel.

I called them. They are sending me a new passengers side header with a return label for the defective one. Customer service was quick and painless. Ill report back when i get the new one installed.

I think it's very impressive how they're handling your problem. Unusually good customer service nowadays. Nice to see......
Could be hitting a motor mount or something take a break then have a good look to see if it jammed up somewhere....
Ive never put a set of headers on but I have read about it and some had issue with that exact thing they ended up loosening the motors mounts raising the engine slightly and then put the exhaust into place this has what stopped me from doing them the possibility of just that sometimes it’s never just easy ....

I got my new passenger side header today. It was much better than the other one but still just a bit off. No big deal. I used some ratchet straps to coax it over just a little bit and got everything installed. I installed everything loose, and then torqued everything up from the rear to the front. Everything lined up when finished. For the cost of them im still 100% satisfied. You just gotta be aware of what you're getting. Ill send the other one back this coming week.
On a side note:
Many people have commented on the clamps that come with these packages saying that they are flimsy. The clamps i got were thick and heavy. That was a nice surprise.
I think TSP has addressed some issues and improved on their service. If you're in the market for value equipment, i would definitely recommend them.
