It's a whirring noise that increases with engine speed as you can hear. In neutral with clutch depressed, no noise. Neutral clutch engaged or gear engaged, whirring. I've listened to a lot of throwout bearing noise videos but it doesn't really sound similar to this. Any help is appreciated.
That sounds like a ring and pinion whine, but to be more certain, is it present on moderate or hard acceleration but disappears at neutral throttle or deceleration?
Rear drive fluid- check for metal particles, refill as necessary. If there are metal particles, plan on a rebuilt rear drive in your future. Whining rear drives often go for very extended miles, but do not get better.
With the rear of the car raised or on jack stands, see if one rear wheel can easily be turned while the car is in gear or park. If so, the differential clutches are worn and or the differential bellville springs are broken.
If none of the above are applicable, it is something else. Be specific about the conditions under which the sound occurs.

It’s not a rear end noise, I’ve already had the whole diff rebuilt 40k miles ago. Carrier, ring/pinion, all bearings etc.
In the video, you can see it makes the noise in neutral. Car not moving, parking brake up. It makes the same noise in gear while driving. So basically it makes the noise any time the clutch is engaged, neutral or otherwise.
That was my second guess, because for the past couple months I have had symptoms of play in the torque tube - rough engagement on and off the throttle. I'd just been driving easy and kept it smooth, but I guess it was closer to being toast than I thought.
If I baby it, will I be okay to drive it for a couple weeks?

You've never heard rear end noise...
And its hard to have a noisy rear end when the video is shot while the car isnt moving.
Since you have to take it all apart let us know what u find.
For sure

Either guibo's or bearings is my educated guess.
About $200 in parts(2 guibo' and 3 bearings) and a good amount of labor to pull the torque tube...
If you think the car needs a clutch, you are 98% of the way there when pulling the torque tube.
The clutch, flywheel, slave, and even torque tube rebuild have ~50k miles on them. When that all was done (I didn't do it personally, I had a shop) they told me my torque tube was a little twisted and they were going to attempt to straighten it out as best they could (previous owner had nitrous hooked up). So I'm thinking I may just get a new torque tube/get the DriveshaftShop replacement that eliminates the couplers (what I assume he meant by gimbels)

That's a good game plan. you do not want to go through this again. You're taking all possible faulty parts out. If that doesn't fix it i know this great cliff you can drive your car off . Been there many times but chicken out at last second. Took a deep attacked it the next day a fix the problem.

Pretty sure the noise is coming from those shoes 😂
Hey now, don't hate on my 10+ year old Vans

Yeah it's just at the most inopportune time. I don't have the time to tackle it right now, and my other vehicle needs a head gasket done smh.
