The tub has been cut on this car has aftermarket carpet in the trunk my car never even had a bag of chips or anything drank in it man that lives 2 miles from me had a c5 I think it was a 97 coupe that he made into a convertable. But was a darker shade the the covers that go over the supports above the finders inside the trunk have a date code of 11 1996 that shouldn't be on an 01

Eddie,

from what you described if this is a car you're looking to buy, just don't bother. These cars are numerous enough that you can get an un-screwed one in your budget range.

Any time I read "somebody made into a convertible" I just shudder

I'm having a difficult time deducing what the ask is here. Did your car get stolen? Are you looking for how to identify a stolen car?

Eddie, it looks like you are posting replies to this thread in your other thread you started with the exact same title. Post those photos here, for the sake of everyone trying to help here.

Those are pics I posted to show him the difference in 1997 to 2001. Simplest thing to look for in my opinion.

The cars in the pics are the same it's just dirty in the second picture. What makes you think it's a different car?

Yes, they are the same car. A nice looking car with aftermarket wheels and spoiler that you discovered was a rebuilt car.
