FOB Resync

I am trying to re sync my FOB after the MY 2000 C5 was in the shop for four months. One of the requirements is that you turn off off the radio, so how do you that and not set other codes from reappearing. Is there no switch to simply turn the radio off.

Never heard of having to shut off the radio as the Re sync is done with car off anyway. Turning off the radio will not se any codes so not sure what you mean by that???

I just stood in front of the car and held both buttons down and waited for the horn to alert t me it was synched.......

I have a c5 corvette and that is one of the 3 steps to sync the fob.

There are no other steps to just re syncing the FOB to the car. Yes there are more steps to PROGRAMING a FOB to the car but a re sync is only one step.
