What he said. I think it's actually to provide a quick check for inspector inspectors. Did the first level inspector check the wire? Paint dot means yes.

Yes.My wife works for one of the manufacturers of the factory coils and each inspector has their own stamp.A few years ago we were at the Corvette Museum and the car they had on display in the lobby actually had her stamp on the coils. She thought that was pretty cool!

I know my wires had Packard on them and they were the factory wires. They looked exactly like yours so yes, there is a possibility that those are the original ones.

Just stick with factory wires and plugs.Nothing to be gained by going with anything else. They are relatively easy to change but expect a few cuts and scrapes as a couple of them aren't the easiest to get to.

A lot of us LS guys run the NGK plugs. I've had MSD Red wires on since 2004. Still working great👍.

Thanks guys, I think I’ll go with ACDelco iridiums n GMPP reds. I hear I wouldn’t need to change plugs so often ( funny the first set went for 116k miles). What plugs 41-110, 41-985 ??

Question, after viewing prior thread from 2010 has the cost of these same GMPP doubled? Why they are just spark plug wires!
