Default Stainless Works Headers?

Thinking of getting a set of headers for my '02 C5. Which Long Tubes should I go with? I have been told that the Stainless Works are a very good header for the money. Any thoughts on this? I am having trouble finding these headers for sale, are these the TPIS that I have been reading about?

Stainless Works are indeed an excellant high quality header for the money... no relation to TPIS... different companies. TPIS sells another high quality mild steel cermaic coated set of headers. We are getting ready to install Stainless Works 3" exhaust system along with their headers on Nate's ride. We'll be posting our thoughts on that when complete. If you want to install yourself and do not want to weld... I would recommend the FLP system. More expensive but you get an entire exhaust system all the way back to your cat back flanges. With exception to the high flow cats that come with the kit it is mild steel 100% ceramic coated. Utilizing the FLP system allows you the option of keeping your stock intermediate pipe assembly from being cut/welded on. Therefore if you have interest in returning car back to stock to sell it you have all parts to do so :)

Dave, you have email..

No, the Stainless Works headers are not the same as the TPIS headers.. These are made of stainless steel and come with a lifetime warranty.. Their quality is top notch, which is something I cannot say for TPIS headers.

They are $999, or $1099 with the optional thicker flange for added support/strength where they bolt to the head.

Dave, pricing was in my reply above! :)

$999 with the standard 1/4" flanges and $1099 with the thicker 3/8" flanges.

Actually, I sell these headers direct for Stainless Works, whom is also a Supporting Vendor on the forum.

I do have to agree, Al from Stainless Works is an incredible guy that manages a company that builds a top notch quality product.

I would have to agree with Matt had said. I ordered mine from him thru a GP and I had them coated by Swaintech. The headers are great, coated or non-coated. Customer support of Swaintech was also topnotch. I had a little trouble with the flanges and I contacted Al Noe. He FEDEXed me a new set immediately, and was delivered on a Saturday I might add.

Just to let you all know, We carry the Stainless Works headers. The same pricing, and I have them in stock. The best alternative to our LG Longtube full length headers.

Thanks

I did an install of the 3/8" flange set about a month ago. Do a search and you can read about the install and my thoughts about the headers...

this looks like a good place to remind everybody that we have our 1 3/4" full length headers on sale. They feature 3/8" flanges on the head, and collector, and are made from 304 stainless. Regular price is $1350.00, but they are currently on sale for $1195.00, and we have 15 + sets in stock for immediate delivery. Give us a call if you're interested
