has anyone gotten syncos replaced
My car is modded so I basically dont have a drivetrain warranty anymore. How much is it to replace syncros in a 01' MN6? How much for the parts/ labor?

I had my synchros replaced, I believe it was about 2 grand covered under ext. warranty. They were done a year ago and it feels like they are starting to go again, especially on the 1-2 shift. The worst part was that it took them 5 weeks due to parts on national backorder.

For that kind of money you should look at replacing the internals with beefier parts. Look in the Southwest Section of the forum. Snowman has a thread about getting his highly modded C5 back on the road with a beefed up tranny. He will tell you who to contact.

I had mine replaced by the dealer under warranty around 18K miles. It only took them a day. I don't recall the effective cost.
